Welcome to Year 4

Our teaching team includes Mr Allaby, Mrs Hampton-Joyce and Miss Bailey (Class Teachers), Mrs Van Spelde and Mrs Cheetham (Cover Teachers).

Our bookshelf texts are:

• ‘The best children’s poetry from Agard to Zephaniah’ by Michael Rosen
• ‘The Rhythm of the Rain’ by Grahame Baker – Smith
• ‘The Highland Falcon Thief’ by M. G. Leonard & Sam Sedgman
• ‘The Journey’ by Francesca Sanna
• ‘Red Alert!’ by Catherine Barr & Anne Wilson
• ‘Don’t Panic! We can still save the planet’ by James Campbell

Important information for Year 4:

• We are timetabled to have PE every Wednesday and Friday (4GB will go swimming every Friday throughout the Summer term starting from 9th May 2025).
• Year group library books can be changed throughout the week when your child has finished them.
• Home Learning is sent home on a Wednesday, due for the following Monday.
• Spellings are sent home on a Wednesday and will be tested each Wednesday so please ensure your Spelling book is in your bag for this.
• We will have a weekly times table check every Thursday.
