Welcome to Year 6

Summer Term – ‘Heroism’

Our Summer Term theme is ’Heroism’, inspired by a range of engaging texts. These will be used across our school curriculum. Many of the stimuli we are using include stories full of adventure, challenges to overcome and inspirational people that have changed the world. Some of our texts also have a focus on preparing the children for the next chapter of their lives.

Our Summer Bookshelf: –

• Shackleton’s Journey- William Grill
• The Undefeated- Kwame Alexander

This term we will have PE on a Monday and a Tuesday for both classes. On these days the children will come to school in their PE kit.

Our teaching team includes Mrs Holmes, Mrs Turvey and Miss Ashworth (Class Teachers), Miss Hooker and Miss Cheetham (Teaching Staff), Miss Aitken, Mrs Thomas, Mrs Phillips, Mrs Jones and Miss Holmes (Learning Support Assistants).
