World Book Day took place on Thursday 7th March 2024.
This annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and the joy of reading is definitely something we have looked forward to each year!
The children and teachers had a great time dressing up as their favourite characters for the occasion. The day was filled with fun and interactive activities that the pupils really enjoyed.
World Book Day’s mission is to offer every child the opportunity to have a book of their own. We believe that every child should have the experience of choosing and owning a book that they enjoy and to remind everyone that reading is the bedrock of our curriculum and the heart of everything we do at Gorsey Bank Primary School. The day is observed globally to promote the love for reading, writing, publishing, and copyright. On this day various activities are organized across the globe to promote the passion for books and reading.
